The Round of 16 clash between Switzerland and Colombia at the 2026 FIFA World Cup is currently at Half-Time, with the score locked at 0–0.

The match is taking place at BC Place in Vancouver, Canada, before a heavily partisan pro-Colombian crowd.

First-Half Key Moments

Lively Start: Colombia started aggressively with Luis Díaz causing early trouble down the left flank, while Switzerland’s Denis Zakaria also threatend early with a dangerous run into the box.

Chances Created: Colombia’s Luis Suárez and James Rodríguez have looked to unlock the stubborn Swiss defense with quick combination play. On the other end, Switzerland's Fabian Rieder had a solid low effort saved well by Colombian goalkeeper Camilo Vargas.

VAR Intervention: A corner originally awarded to Colombia in the 40th minute was overturned by VAR after replays showed the ball last touched Santiago Arias.

The winner of this match will go on to face Argentina in the Quarter-finals, following Lionel Messi and co.'s dramatic 3–2 victory over Egypt earlier today.
