imo mostly a texas holdem guy, honestly just grinding tight early and bullying when blinds go up works best for me. what about you, you got a go-to move at the tables?

Posted

I usually try to play tight early too, but I like to adjust depending on the table. If I notice players folding a lot, I'll steal the blinds more often. Staying patient and picking good spots has worked well for me.

Tight early and then getting aggressive late is the way tbh, I’ve been mixing in more Omaha lately though for a change of pace. The swings are wild but hitting a scoop pot feels so good.

Tight early and loose late is definitely the move in holdem. Been dipping into PLO myself and the variance is insane but those double-suit aces hit different when they connect.

Yeah tight early loose late is the classic for a reason. I’ve been messing with short deck lately though, the action is nonstop and it punishes the nits hard.

Tight-early loose-late is the bread and butter. I mostly stick to NLHE but PLO is a fun side quest when I'm feeling reckless, the nut flush draws feel way more chaotic there lol.

Tight early loose late is solid for holdem, but I've been hooked on PLO lately and it's a completely different beast. You can't just wait for premiums, you gotta embrace the variance and learn to love those multi-way pots.

Tight early loose late is def the foundation but I'm with the PLO converts here, the sheer number of draws keeps it so spicy. Once you get a feel for hand equities it starts making a bit more sense though, still a bankroll rollercoaster lol.

Texas holdem cash games are my bread and butter, especially live 1/2 where peoople overvalue top pair. I actually think folding more preflop and then hammering turns with polarized bets confuses a lot of regs who autopilot their ranges.

I used to only play tournaments but honestly the pace of cash games just suits me way better now. Being able to leave whenever you want instead of being stuck for hours if you run deep is a huge quality of life thing.

I grinded a ton of PLO micros last year and the best adjustment was just nut peddling against the maniacs, they'll punt stacks with the second nuts every time. Actually my funniest moment was flopping quads and slowplaying it so bad the guy bluffed off his whole stack on the river with a busted wrap.

That switch from tourneys to cash games is so real, being able to stand up and walk away after a bad beat instead of grinding for four more hours is honestly underrated

i mostly play holdem cash online and the most useful thing for me was just tightening up from early position, not that exciting but it stops the slow bleed
