It’s obvious, they aren’t even trying to hide it. And its a shame, they’ve ruined the game of football

I keep seeing people compare it to past tournaments but honestly the sheer number of borderline calls going their way this time feels way more blatant to me.

I was watchng the Netherlands match with my uncle and he actually threw a cushion at the TV when that Messi handball went unpunished, I hadn't seen him that fired up in years.

I honestly think it is more about the chaos of the refs than some conspiracy, the same tournament had plenty of shocking calls against other big teams too. Their squad just knowws how to exploit every moment of confusion better than anyone else.

I get why it feels that way but I think some of the messiness is just the refs being consistently inconsistent across the board, not specifically tilting toward Argentina. It is easier to remember the calls that helped them advance though.

I honestly think it looks worse because all the close calls are magnified when it's a team like Argentina, nobody blinks when a smaller nation gets the same treatment and loses anyway.

I watched that Netherlands match with a buddy who never cares about soccer and even he was like why did the ref let them surround him after every foul with no cards. The Paredes incident where he blasted the ball at the bench and only got a yellow still lives in my head rent free.

The Paredes moment in the Netherlands game still lives rent free in my head, like how do you boot the ball into the opposing bench and then act shocked when people rush you. That entire sequence was chaos and somehow Argentina walked away with barely any real punishment.
