Shaolin Soccer is the undisputed champ for me too, nothing else even comes close to that level of madness lol. I feel like any serious football movie just can't compete after you've seen a dude bicycle kick a ball on fire

Bend It Like Beckham was alright I suppose. The only one I really remember watching more than once though is The Damned United, more about the management side than the pitch.

I always thought it was funny how OP mentioned Chinese soccer, I guess they meant Shaolin Soccer but honestly thaat slip up made me think of that random FIFA documentary about the actual Chinese league from years back. Way less flying kicks in that one unfortunately.

Honestly I never got the love for Shaolin Soccer, felt like it dragged way too long. The Damned United is slept on though, Clough's story is way more gripping than any special effects kick.

i watched that pele movie on a plane once and honestly teared up a bit, the way they shot the childhood scenes made me feel like i was kicking a sock ball around too.
