ayontop Posted 22 hours ago #1 Posted 22 hours ago When I first started playing poker, I thought folding meant I was giving up. Now I see it differently. Sometimes, folding is the smartest decision you can make. I’ve learned that being patient usually pays off more than chasing every hand. That’s one of the reasons I enjoy poker, there’s always something new to learn. Good luck to everyone at the tables! 🍀♠️
Waynera Posted 12 hours ago #2 Posted 12 hours ago It’s not i always fold if i don’t hand 3 of a kind above
ayontop Posted 11 hours ago Author #3 Posted 11 hours ago That’s a cautious approach. I usually look at my position and the betting before deciding, but folding weak hands definitely saves you from a lot of trouble.
rexick Posted 5 hours ago #5 Posted 5 hours ago Real talk, patience is underrated. Chasing every hand just gets you broke quick 😂
Ravenast Posted 3 hours ago #6 Posted 3 hours ago Took me way too long to learn that folding a decent hand pre-flop saves more money than it ever wins chasing. Patience really is the secret sauce.
Homwyy6 Posted 3 hours ago #7 Posted 3 hours ago Facts bro, discipline at the tables is everything. Once you stop tilting and learn to fold, that’s when the real profits start coming. 💯
sydneyess1 Posted 3 hours ago #8 Posted 3 hours ago Took me losing a couple buy-ins on pure hope to finally get this through my skull. Now folding just feels like reloading for a better spot.
sydneyari Posted 2 hours ago #9 Posted 2 hours ago Took me a while to realize folding isn't weak, it's just passing on a bad deal. Keeping chips for a better spot is its own kind of win tbh
dinai Posted 2 hours ago #10 Posted 2 hours ago Took me losing a few stacks to realize folding is just saving ammo for a better spot, ngl. Way less stressful too once you stop forcing it.
woonmia Posted 2 hours ago #11 Posted 2 hours ago Took way too long to drill that into my own head tbh, folding pre with marginal hands has saved me more than any hero call ever did.
kovalyn Posted 2 hours ago #12 Posted 2 hours ago Yeah, folding just means you’re not paying to see a flop you already know is gonna hurt you. Saves chips and sanity tbh
Vaelna Posted 2 hours ago #13 Posted 2 hours ago Yeah, the mental shift from "giving up" to "smart patience" is the real level-up moment in poker. Nothing burns a bankroll faster than chasing garbage hands out of boredom.
