I’m not really sure about that

there were 9 African teams in the round of 32 mostly thanks to the third place rule but their performance in the knockouts has been poor with only Morocco turning up

Egypt really had me pulling my hair out at the end there lol. The physicality and structure from teams like Morocco is just on another level now, feels like anyone can make a deep run this cycle.

Morocco’s been so fun to watch this tournament, their pressing and transitions are legit elite now—feels like they’ve leveled up since 2022.
