I see it the other way actually, killer tactics can paper over a weak mentality for a while but it all crumbles when pressure hits. Saw too many technically perfect teams get steamrolled by a squad that just wanted it more.

I lean the other way on this one. You can have the best vibes and loudest communicators in the world but without a proper tactical structure they will just run around like headless chickens once the other side adjusts.

I will always pick a side with killer tactics over pure vibes. A well drilled system can force players to communicate and fight because the structure demands it, while the best team spirit falls apart instantly if nobody knows where to run.

Tactics are great on paper but I once watched my local sunday league side with zero gameplan just steamroll a way better drilled team because they were all mates and shouted at eachother nonstop. The other lot just fell apart second half when we scored a lucky one and suddenly nobody was covering their man.

I once captained a team in a small tournnament where we had barely any tactical prep but our warmup was just laughing and yelling and somehow we made semis cos everyone was covering each other's mistakes instinctively. Then next tournament we actually drilled set pieces for days and got bounced in groups because nobody wanted to make the extra run for their mate anymore.
