darasimi Posted Thursday at 12:39 PM #1 Posted Thursday at 12:39 PM One bad hand used to throw me off, but I’ve learned that poker is all about staying composed. A tough round doesn’t define the rest of the session. I try to focus on making good decisions instead of worrying about the last hand. Keeping a clear head has helped me enjoy the game a lot more. Good luck to everyone at the tables, and may your next hand be a great one! 🍀
nylast93 Posted Thursday at 08:17 PM #2 Posted Thursday at 08:17 PM Tilt is the real bankroll killer tbh, once you stop letting one hand live rent-free in your head the whole vibe shifts.
onyxvi333 Posted Thursday at 08:27 PM #3 Posted Thursday at 08:27 PM So true, once you stop chasing losses and just play your game it’s like a weight lifts off
Doseys Posted Thursday at 08:43 PM #4 Posted Thursday at 08:43 PM So true, once I started treating every hand as its own fresh start the whole table felt different. Gl out there!
Luxienne Posted Thursday at 09:04 PM #6 Posted Thursday at 09:04 PM Tilt is the real bankroll killer tbh, once you stop letting one hand live rent-free in your head the whole vibe shifts. 💪🎉
Shredast Posted Thursday at 09:43 PM #7 Posted Thursday at 09:43 PM Fr, it's wild how much clearer your decisions get once you stop replaying the last hand in your head.
larsrain960 Posted yesterday at 09:35 AM #8 Posted yesterday at 09:35 AM I get the idea but sometimes you kinda need that bad hand to sting a little or you wont adjust. If i just shrug it off every time i miss the fact i played it sloppy and do it again later.
Zexarver Posted yesterday at 09:37 AM #9 Posted yesterday at 09:37 AM I think it’s more that a bad hand should sting just enough to make you replay it once, otherwise you might not spot the leak.
sam16c1e Posted yesterday at 12:55 PM #10 Posted yesterday at 12:55 PM yeah ngl tilt used to wreck me but now i just laugh off the bad beats and move on lol ngl
novaiozyl Posted yesterday at 01:49 PM #11 Posted yesterday at 01:49 PM focusing on making good decisions is huge because then the outcome almost feels secondary, at least you know you played it right. spade suit in the title got me, always my unlucky card.
ceret7 Posted yesterday at 01:52 PM #12 Posted yesterday at 01:52 PM That's a great reminder. It's easy to let one big win make us overconfident or one bad loss push us into chasing.
ivoryolrel Posted 23 hours ago #13 Posted 23 hours ago I hear you but I think it's almost impossible to just delete the last hand from your brain, sometimes that frustration is whaat forces you to tighten up and play sharper. If I try to stay too zen about it I end up coasting and making the same lazy calls.
novaarlia6 Posted 21 hours ago #15 Posted 21 hours ago stand up for 30 secs after a fold resets focus better
hal2uorr720 Posted 10 hours ago #16 Posted 10 hours ago yeah fr one ugly hand can mess your whole sesh if you let it, keeping cool is teh real goat move ? tbh
winealtha Posted 7 hours ago #17 Posted 7 hours ago Bit to breezy, tilt has to come out somwhere imo.
Kazari Posted 7 hours ago #18 Posted 7 hours ago I dunno, sometimes letting that anger simmer actually sharpens my reads because I’m paying closer attention to avoid another dumb mistake. But I get it, too much tilt and you're just handing chips away.
Ravenast Posted 7 hours ago #19 Posted 7 hours ago I started muting the table chat completely after a rough hand, keeps me from reading salt and snowballing the tilt. Works like a charm if you tend to overthink what others might be typing abot your play.
lorelvar Posted 6 hours ago #20 Posted 6 hours ago Poker’s tricky though, a bad hand can be a warnning sign I’m off my game and not just random bad luck.
thornva Posted 3 hours ago #21 Posted 3 hours ago I folded a royal flush draw once and laughed it off, then won the next three pots clean.
vaelixmia Posted 40 minutes ago #22 Posted 40 minutes ago I get what you’re saying but I think sometimes a bad hand does change the whole dynamic of the session, like you suddenly tighten up too much and miss spots you’d normally take. Not every hand, but some losses kinda linger in a sneaky way even if you think you’re over it.
