I lean more toward travel fatigue being the real factor over any crowd magic, but then you watch some clubs collapse completely on the road and it makes you pause.

I dunno, it still holds up pretty well in some lower leagues where the pitch itself is a total nightmare for visitors.

Yeah it feels way less reeliable now. I still give it some weight in college sports though, the student section noise seems to actually rattle young players.

i usually check if the team playing at home has a strong defensive record there, cause some clubs just know how to shut down games on their own pitch even when form is sketchy

i only trust it now if the home squad has nothing to play for except pride, taht weird emotional spike can really mess wiht the odds in dead rubber games.

i sttill find it matters most when you look at the pace of the pitch, some grounds are way narrower and it rly messes with wingers
