steinyn Posted 11 hours ago #2 Posted 11 hours ago Nah, Mbappé’s scary but there’s too many strong squads this year for me to just lock in France already tbh
Shredki Posted 10 hours ago #3 Posted 10 hours ago Mbappé is a cheat code but their midfield depth isn't what it used to be, one injury and they could get overrun
phantver Posted 8 hours ago #8 Posted 8 hours ago Nah they're definitely stacked but I feel like this time someone unexpected might actually pull it off, the field's just too wide open
vyxxen Posted 8 hours ago #9 Posted 8 hours ago Mbappé is unreal but tbh their defense hasn't been tested properly yet, that's where I'd be worried
ryxssa Posted 8 hours ago #10 Posted 8 hours ago Nah, their midfield looks shaky without Pogba and Kanté at full strength, I’d be more worried about that than the defense tbh
nyxyn Posted 8 hours ago #11 Posted 8 hours ago Tbh that midfield situation is exactly why I can't see them going all the way, without a proper engine it's gonna get ugly against a team that presses hard
ryxora Posted 7 hours ago #12 Posted 7 hours ago They're stacked for sure but I've got the same worry about that midfield, feels like if someone can just disrupt them there the whole thing could fall apart
gauzerel Posted 7 hours ago #13 Posted 7 hours ago Their squad is insane on paper but international tournaments are so unpredictable, one bad group stage match and suddenly they're facing Brazil in the round of 16
rajadch Posted 7 hours ago #14 Posted 7 hours ago Tbh that midfield is the biggest red flag, without someone who can control the tempo they'll get overrun by a disciplined side
Umbraon Posted 6 hours ago #17 Posted 6 hours ago Do you think the lack of a classic holding midfielder would actually force Deschamps to switch to a back three or would he stubbornly stick with his usual setup?
eduardo48 Posted 5 hours ago #18 Posted 5 hours ago ngl fr is a toss up, mbappé's gotta be on fire for them to pull it off ?
thornarki Posted 5 hours ago #19 Posted 5 hours ago Who do you think scores the final goal for them if it actually happens, Mbappe slicing through or a scrappy header from a set piece after all the attack buildup fizzles out again? I can see it going either way tbh, just as likely they get knocked out by a team that just parks the bus and hits on the counter.
Autumnkaerra Posted 2 hours ago #22 Posted 2 hours ago I feel like people forget how deep that midfield actually is even without a pure destroyer type, Tchouameni can just sit back and let the front three run riot.
Ryxoslyn Posted 2 hours ago #23 Posted 2 hours ago Their backline is rock solid, I thnk the odds on them keeping a clean sheet in the final are actually decent.
legacyurver44 Posted 1 hour ago #24 Posted 1 hour ago You're backing them confidently, but do you see the toughest challenge coming from a team like Argentina again or a dark horse nobody's really talking about yet? I'm still not fully sold on their midfield creating enough chances without Griezmann dropping super deep.
vexanan70 Posted 1 hour ago #25 Posted 1 hour ago I put a fiver on France back in 2018 just because my cat knocked over a glass onto a betting slip.
