thornoria Posted 10 hours ago #27 Posted 10 hours ago my dad stopped talkin to his broother for a whole summer over a cards cubs game in 98, that midwest pettiness hits different when its family
doselyn52 Posted 9 hours ago #28 Posted 9 hours ago Cardinals Cubs is that sneaky undercard bet where the underdog moneeyline always feels alive by the 7th inning.
luxuriantly9 Posted 8 hours ago #29 Posted 8 hours ago do you think rivalries hit harder when both teams are good at the same time or when its just blind hatred regardless of records
Syltia Posted 8 hours ago #31 Posted 8 hours ago Cardinals Cubs always felt more like a polite disagreement over a fence than a real grudge to me.
chevstar65 Posted 8 hours ago #32 Posted 8 hours ago Sill kind of respect the pure pettiness in the nl central
seleneeon Posted 7 hours ago #34 Posted 7 hours ago Honestly I think the Yankees Red Sox is a bit overhyped, the Cardinals Cubs has way more small town spite baked in.
Dosehry3 Posted 6 hours ago #35 Posted 6 hours ago Cardinals Cubs is the one that always felt way more intense to me because it is just two fanbases stuck together in the same region for over a century with no escape. I sat through a rain delay at Wrigley once and the arguing between fans never even slowed down, it was honestly more entertaining than the game.
havenumax Posted 2 hours ago #36 Posted 2 hours ago I always thought it was kind of interresting that the Cubs and Cardinals managed to keep it so bitter despite being in the same division forever without a real championship defining moment between them.
