I am not convinced the jump is as big as people say when you look at the defensive structures outside the top four teams. There is still way too much space between the lines when they face a decent press.

Honestly I think peope are moving the goalposts a bit, if we are talking about competing with the Premier League overnight then no but the top half of MLS would give a lot of mid table teams in France or Portugal a proper game now which is wild compared to ten years ago.
