That 5-0 was a statement piece, but the 2011 UCL semi was just pure chaos with Messi deciding he'd had enough of Real Madrid for one night

That 5-0 is untouchable for the sheer dominance, but that 2011 UCL semi with Messi going god mode after the Pepe red card is the one I always go back to.

That copa del rey final was absolute cinema, proper end-to-end chaos with a Messi winner that still makes no sense how he squeezed it in from that angle

I’d put the 2011 UCL semi first leg up there mostly because both teams were at their peak and it wasn’t a total blowout, just a narrow win full of chaos. That 2007 3 3 draw at the Camp Nou felt more balanced though, like they cancelled each other out in the most annoying way for either fan.

tbh the 2014 copa del rey final gets slept on way too much, bale's run was just insane and the whole vibe that night was electric. do you think a match like that with a wild individual moment beats a technically perfect team performance in your book?

The 2005 one at the Bernabeu where Ronaldinho got a standing ovation from the Madrid fans still feels unreal, like that kind of respect in a rivalry never happens.
