Senegal 2002 was wild no doubt, but Id say Croatia making the final in 2018 shocked me more cus nobody even had them pegged to escape the group stage let alone beat England in the semis.

honnestly the fact that we are still talking about upsets from 20 years ago just shows how rare they really are in world cups lol. saudi arabia beating argentina in 2022 felt like watching a glitch in the matrix and nobody even mentions it anymore

Everyone brings up Senegal in 2002 but for me that Saudi win over Argentina was way more absurd, like their entire game plan was just offside traps and it actually worked while messi looked completely lost out there
