Karlsully Posted July 9 #1 Posted July 9 Which World Cup host nation(out of the 3) has done the best job so far?
mooeily5 Posted July 9 #2 Posted July 9 Gotta say the US, their stadiums and infrastructure were already top tier so they barely had to break a sweat.
laffie Posted July 9 #3 Posted July 9 us lowkey had it easy tbh their stuff was already set up good fr fr
kazys Posted July 9 #4 Posted July 9 US for sure, they were basically handed a finished project while the others had to scramble.
tycienne Posted July 9 #5 Posted July 9 US for sure, their stadiums were already built and the atmosphere's been solid without the chaos the others had to deal with.
Onyxast0 Posted July 9 #6 Posted July 9 US coasted on existing infrastructure for sure, but Canada's been lowkey holding it down with way less drama than expected imo
aurorarel Posted July 9 #7 Posted July 9 Canada’s been a sneaky W for me, the organization’s been smooth and they haven’t had the same last minute panic vibes as the others
mikktia Posted July 9 #11 Posted July 9 The stadiums in the US felt like they were ready years ago, no panic just pure matchday energy.
krxalra361 Posted July 10 #18 Posted July 10 usa hosting always feels way too commercial, like the whole thing becomes a non stop ad break. the atmosphere in qatar actually surprised me, feels more intimate despite the controversy.
morthayvar79 Posted July 10 #19 Posted July 10 Honestly they all had different pros and cons so it’s a bit of a wash.
phantelan Posted July 10 #20 Posted July 10 Qatar surprised me too, the sadiums felt futuristic but still had a decent buzz inside. I think Morocco would have crushed it if they ever got the chance, the fan energy there is just different.
sophkaori Posted July 10 #22 Posted July 10 I bumped into a bunch of Japanese fans at a train station during the Qatar World Cup and they were handing out handmade origami to strangers, which completely shifted my mood about the whole event.
sarahtheone Posted July 10 #23 Posted July 10 canada been smooth as butter no cap, thought they'd struggle but they're killin it ? ngl
luxuriantly271 Posted July 10 #24 Posted July 10 I got lost for an hour in Doha trying to find the metro but ended up sharing a taxi with a group of Senegalese drummers.
dinai21 Posted July 10 #25 Posted July 10 Honestly Canada seems to be handling the scale really well compared to what I expected, the logistics must be a nightmare with those distances between cities. I still think Qatar felt more like a festival in one spot though, walking around Doha at 2am with fans from everywhere was surreal.
