i actually watched a full documentary on ucla's 88 game streak last year and it completely changed my view. the fact that they won 10 titles in 12 years under wooden is just absurd no matter how you spin it

I'd push back on Duke a little. Kentucky has the most wins ever and titles across so many different eras, not just one coach's reign like Coach K.

Duke definitely has that modern mystique but Kentucky's sheer consistency across so many eras is just wild. Honestly I always lean toward UCLA just because that Wooden run felt liike a different sport entirely.

Kentucky always feels like the true blueblood if you look at the numbers, but Duke's culture under K just hit different for kids growing up in the 90s and 00s

Duke gets the shine now but I wouldn't say their history is richer than Kentucky's. Those early Rupp years basically shaped college hoops and the sheer volume of wins puts them in a different league if you ask me.

Kentucky has the wins and banners but Duke under Cooach K feels like they pulled off something rarer, dominating an era where parity got way harder. It's not just the rings, its how they did it with so many one and dones and still built a cult like identity.

My dad still taks about Christian Laettner's shot like he saw it live yesterday, that Duke moment just seared into a whole generation's memory. Kentucky fans probably got similar flashbacks though, those programs just spawn endless bar arguments
