Nnamdijessica Posted 19 hours ago #1 Posted 19 hours ago Sporting are closing in on a deal to sign Jesse Derry form Chelsea on a loan deal
larslyn Posted 19 hours ago #2 Posted 19 hours ago Haven't heard much about him tbh, but Sporting usually do well loaning young players from big clubs
auroralia Posted 18 hours ago #3 Posted 18 hours ago Haven't seen him play either, but Chelsea's academy is stacked so there's probably something there. Sporting's a good spot to get minutes and develop
Vorlyn Posted 18 hours ago #4 Posted 18 hours ago Another Chelsea academy kid heading to Portugal, seems like a solid move for all sides. Hope he gets decent minutes there 🤞
morthienne4 Posted 18 hours ago #5 Posted 18 hours ago Sporting's scouting on these loans is usually on point, so if they want him there's probably a player in there
woonrel Posted 18 hours ago #6 Posted 18 hours ago Haven't seen him play yet but Chelsea's academy is stacked so he's probably got something about him. Sporting's a good move for getting proper minutes tbh
marinakide Posted 18 hours ago #7 Posted 18 hours ago yeah sporting picking up another chelsea kid feels like a smart bet fr 🤞
steinyn Posted 17 hours ago #8 Posted 17 hours ago Sporting do love picking up Chelsea academy lads, they've got a good track record with that. Let's see if he can get proper game time there
Kovaenne Posted 16 hours ago #9 Posted 16 hours ago Seems like a smart loan for everyone involved tbh, Chelsea get him development and Sporting get a decent talent without much risk
Mikkmia Posted 15 hours ago #10 Posted 15 hours ago ngl Sporting seems to be the go-to club for Chelsea loans and it usually works out decently, let's hope he actually gets on the pitch though
buckkyy23 Posted 14 hours ago #11 Posted 14 hours ago ngl never watched him but chelsea academy usually delivers so this should work out ? ?
irisyn066 Posted 3 hours ago #14 Posted 3 hours ago Sporting feels like a way better shout than him rotting on Chelsea's bech or getting lost in the Championship shuffle. He'll actually get a real shot at minutes in a system that trusts young talent.
auroraoltia Posted 3 hours ago #16 Posted 3 hours ago Proper move this, Derrry gets to play in a proper attacking setup and maybe we’ll see his odds drop for a breakout season if he hits the ground running in Liga Portugal.
Raxolori Posted 2 hours ago #18 Posted 2 hours ago I watched him in the Youth League last year and his movement off the ball is so sharp, reminded me of a young Mount the way he drifts into half spaces. If Sporting give him a consistent run he could be one of those loans that actually turns into something.
Steinarique4 Posted 2 hours ago #19 Posted 2 hours ago hope he gets real minutes there, hate seeing young lads just warm the bench for years
