I always lean on recent form over xG cause I've watched my team dominate xG battles for weeks and still drop points. At least with form you know they're actually getting results, even if they're scraping by ugly.

I would use recent xG because final scores can sometimes hide how well a team actually played

I prefer expected goals against because a weak defense can ruin almost any bet

I would choose shots on target conceded because it quickly shows which defenses are vulnerable
