Ghady911 Posted 12 hours ago #1 Posted 12 hours ago Many sportsbooks reward loyal customers with bonuses, free bets, and VIP perks, but should players who consistently lose also receive better odds as a form of retention? Some argue that rewarding losing bettors with occasional boosted odds could improve customer satisfaction and keep casual players engaged. Others believe odds should always reflect the true probability of an event, and offering personalized prices would be unfair and could undermine trust in the betting market. Do you think sportsbooks should give long-term losing players better odds, or should everyone always receive the exact same prices?
morthienne4 Posted 10 hours ago #2 Posted 10 hours ago Nah, that'd just be openly admitting the odds aren't fair to begin with tbh. They already give losing players plenty of "rewards" disguised as free bets and deposit matches anyway.
umbravi Posted 10 hours ago #3 Posted 10 hours ago It's already happening just in a different wrapper, those VIP reload bonuses and loss-back offers are basically personalized odds for losing players.
katareto Posted 10 hours ago #4 Posted 10 hours ago nah bro they already got enough hooks with those lossback deals no need to change the odds fr
segun334 Posted 10 hours ago #5 Posted 10 hours ago No. Everybody should have access to the same odds regardless of their streak
Phanki Posted 8 hours ago #6 Posted 8 hours ago They're already doing it though, just calling it a "risk-free bet" or "loyalty bonus" instead of better odds. Same thing, different label.
Mikkelle42 Posted 8 hours ago #7 Posted 8 hours ago They already do, just not in a way that's obvious. All those reload bonuses and "boosted" bet tokens are basically a roundabout way of giving worse players better value without messing with the core odds.
opinicus416 Posted 7 hours ago #8 Posted 7 hours ago Ngl they already do this indirectly with all the loss-back promos and VIP stuff, straight-up adjusting the odds would just make it too obvious and probably scare off the sharps even more.
ladyly Posted 6 hours ago #10 Posted 6 hours ago Ive seen this in action, they already just toss me a 50% boost on random props after a rough week, works the same really.
mariophoenix Posted 6 hours ago #11 Posted 6 hours ago yeah man, leveling the odds ain't the way, they already got the VIP tricks up their sleeve ?
luxuriantly45 Posted 4 hours ago #12 Posted 4 hours ago i dont know, feels like actually tweaking the odds would just confuse casuals even more. like they get a boost and then the line still moves and they think the book is scamming them whhen they lose.
Frankiolnda Posted 2 hours ago #13 Posted 2 hours ago I get the idea but it feels a bit off to me, if the odds themselves change for losing players then the market stops being transparent. Casuls might not notice but anyone comparing prices across books would just see Stake as having softer lines and that could hurt their reputation long term.
woonyntha Posted 1 hour ago #14 Posted 1 hour ago Better odds wolud just muddy the whole thing, I think the lossback promos are a smarter move.
shredralyn Posted 56 minutes ago #15 Posted 56 minutes ago The problem with personalized odds is you’d essentially be building a reputation system where a proven loser has a diferent price than a sharp hitting the same bet, and that undermines the whole point of a betting market. I’m fine with them tossing freebies or loss rebates but the base odds should stay uniform.
