bro i saw that too during the euros last time, bruno just kept passing to the wing when ronaldo was open in the box. if they link up even a bit it would be scary

honestly its been like that for a while now, they just dont look for him early enough. i remember one match where he was pointing to space and they still played it wide, feels like wasted talent

I rewatched the World Cup qualifier against Iceland a few months back and counted at least four clear runs Ronaldo made in behind that just got ignored because the midfield was fixated on recycling possession out wide.

Yeah I think its more a coaching problem than trusst honestly. Bruno and Bernardo both look for the safe pass first like they been drilled to keep posession at all costs instead of risking the quick through ball. The system just dont suit a pure 9 anymore feels like sometimes.

I watched the last euros with my dad and he legit stood up yelling at the tv when Ronaldo was open for a header and Vitinha passed it backwards instead, was so painful to see. Honestly after that game I started noticing how much the chemistry feels like strangers meeting for the first time every match.

coach should just tell em to float crosses near post early and let ronaldo do the rest, stop overthinking it with the shrt passes around the box tbh

Saw Portugal struggle to break down that low block last game and it’s wild how the midfield kept recycling possession with zero urgency when Bruno could’ve played a simple through ball into CR7’s feet inside the box. I actually hammered Ronaldo to have over 0.5 shots on target at 1.61 odds thinking the service would be decent but they just passed it around the edge of the area like they wree up 5 nil.

id rather see bruno just feed it direct to ronaldo instead of these sideways safe balls that do nothing. the sideways game is just wasting time and no one else finishes like him anyway. at least that way there is some actual danger in the box.
