larslia Posted 18 hours ago #10 Posted 18 hours ago Nah fr, simple in theory maybe, but it's the bills and curveballs that make it feel like a full-time job just to stay afloat.
wineen Posted 17 hours ago #11 Posted 17 hours ago It’s simple on paper till you wake up and realize adulting is just a subscription you never signed up for
ladyen51 Posted 17 hours ago #12 Posted 17 hours ago Truth is life only feels simple when you’re not the one paying for it tbh
legacyerra Posted 16 hours ago #14 Posted 16 hours ago Nah fr, the grind just to keep up is exhausting. Feels like we’re all just overcomplicating something that should be basic survival by now.
voxund0 Posted 16 hours ago #15 Posted 16 hours ago Nah, it’s like life has a sick sense of humor—just when you think you’ve got it figured out, it throws another plot twist.
princevicki Posted 16 hours ago #16 Posted 16 hours ago Honestly, it really should be. We tend to overcomplicate everything ourselves, but society doesn't make it any easier either
sandstein811 Posted 3 hours ago #17 Posted 3 hours ago I tried to simplify my mornings by making overnight oats but now I just wake up to a jar of cement and an extra dish to scrub.
Shredranda920 Posted 2 hours ago #20 Posted 2 hours ago I think the idea that life was ever meant to be simple is a bit of a myth we tell ourselves. Even back in the day people dealt with famines, plagues, and not knowing if a sabertooth tiger would eat them, so maybe the struggle is just part of the package deal.
Yukiorna Posted 1 hour ago #21 Posted 1 hour ago The word "simple" always trips me up because it sounds nice but means something different for everyone. Like what if simple just meant having fewer dumb things to worry about instead of actually easy.
vaelioys1 Posted 1 hour ago #22 Posted 1 hour ago What helped me was literally doing one thing at a time instead of trying to juggle five tasks and ending up with none done. I started blocking off just twenty minutes for the most annoying thing first and the rest of the day felt less chaotic.
asharry34 Posted 1 hour ago #24 Posted 1 hour ago Spent 3 hours booking a dentist appointment online. Ridiculous.
