Bikinibum Posted 20 hours ago #1 Posted 20 hours ago Penalty shootouts are often called a lottery, but some teams and goalkeepers seem to handle the pressure better than others. With France and Morocco set to face each other, imagine the match is level after 120 minutes and it comes down to penalties. 🇫🇷 France or 🇲🇦 Morocco? Which team would you trust more? Which goalkeeper would you back to make the crucial save? Who would be your first 5 penalty takers? Have you ever correctly predicted the winner of a major penalty shootout? Personally, I think mentality and confidence matter just as much as technical ability when the pressure is that high. Who are you backing if it goes all the way to penalties?
hollowund Posted 19 hours ago #3 Posted 19 hours ago France have way more experience in these situations tbh, Lloris has been there and done it while Morocco's keeper has had a great tournament but penalties are a different beast.
luxuriantly271 Posted 19 hours ago #4 Posted 19 hours ago France for sure, Lloris has been in these big moments before and Morocco’s fairy tale run might hit a wall when the pressure is that insane.
seleneeon Posted 18 hours ago #5 Posted 18 hours ago Lloris in a shootout feels way safer than Bono, even with the run he's had. I'd still be sweating bullets watching it though ngl.
Pyxirlia Posted 5 hours ago #6 Posted 5 hours ago Bono's recent saves make me think France's experience might not be the deciing factor here.
luxrl5sa Posted 3 hours ago #7 Posted 3 hours ago lloris is a wall in pens but bono's been unreal this tourney, gonna be a sweat either way fr ?
lorenwyn Posted 1 hour ago #8 Posted 1 hour ago I still remember calling the 2006 final shootout wrong because I was sure Barthez would outshine Buffon, so I learned the hard way that form on the night can smash any paper logic. For this one I would actually lean towards Morocco just because Bono has that weird confidence right now where he looks like he already knows where you're shooting.
