If France vs Morocco Goes to Penalties, Which Team Has the Advantage?

Penalty shootouts are often called a lottery, but some teams and goalkeepers seem to handle the pressure better than others.

With France and Morocco set to face each other, imagine the match is level after 120 minutes and it comes down to penalties.

🇫🇷 France or 🇲🇦 Morocco?

Which team would you trust more?

Which goalkeeper would you back to make the crucial save?

Who would be your first 5 penalty takers?

Have you ever correctly predicted the winner of a major penalty shootout?

Personally, I think mentality and confidence matter just as much as technical ability when the pressure is that high.

Who are you backing if it goes all the way to penalties?

France have way more experience in these situations tbh, Lloris has been there and done it while Morocco's keeper has had a great tournament but penalties are a different beast.

I still remember calling the 2006 final shootout wrong because I was sure Barthez would outshine Buffon, so I learned the hard way that form on the night can smash any paper logic. For this one I would actually lean towards Morocco just because Bono has that weird confidence right now where he looks like he already knows where you're shooting.

Honestly I am leaning towards France purely because Lloris has seen it all and that kind of calm spreads through the whole team when the pressure is absurd. Morocco has the momentum and Bono has been incredible but a penalty shootout in a semifinal is a completely different mental monster.

Morocco honestly, Bono just has that look like he knows where the ball is going before they even kick it. Lloris is solid but I feel like the Moroccan players have way less fear because nobody expected them to be here anyway.

I always look at who took set pieces during the match cause those guys legs are usually cooked by minute 120 and their pens start sailing over the bar no matter how confident they look.

Mentality is definitely the biggest thing, I think Morocco feeds off that underdog energy so well that the pressure actually flips onto France. Lloris is not exacty known for dominating shootouts so I would honestly back Bono to be the difference maker there.

I think Morocco has the edge cause their keeper Bono basically carried Sevilla through that Europa League final on pens while Lloris rarely gets a hand on anything from the spot, Bono's just got that dawg in him

Honestly I see people hyping Bono a lot but Lloris has saved 2 out of the last 5 shootouts he faced for country so he is not that bad. France just has too many clutch players like Mbappé who rarely miss from the spot.
