My uncle literally screamed at the ref for a full minute before we showed him the replay and he went dead silent. Happens way too often when youre watching live and the angles play tricks on ya

I get what you're saying but sometimes those calls are genuinely 50/50 even after watching the replay ten times, so I wouldn't blame someone for sticking with their first impression.

My brother once paused a match and drew lines on the TV with his finger trying to prove a handball, then the VAR angle showed it hit his chest clear as day. Now he just waits for the slow mo before reacting at all.

id rather look dumb after a replay than scram for five minutes and then see i was wrong

idk the refs only got one pair of eyes too and they mess up all the time tbh

ive been the one with the wrong eye before so many times man you think its a clear trip then the replay shows the guy just tripped over his own feet

Eh but if you need a slow mo replay to change your mind then the ref kinda got it wrong in real time too.

I remember watching with my dad last month and yelling for a pen when our winger went down in the box, i was so certain then the replay rolled and you could see the defender never even touched him just the grass caught his toe

They just find it hard to accept the truth because it doesn't favor the team they are supporting.
