Nah it is growing a lot lately tbh. The ISL brought smoe proper money and now kids actually see football as a career path, not just a hobby. My cousin in Pune says his school team doubled in two years.

Honestly, a cricket bat costs way less and you can play in any alley, whereas even a cheap football demands more open space that most neighborhoods simply don't have.
