Blackgander17 Posted 19 hours ago #1 Posted 19 hours ago One of the hardest parts of playing is knowing when to walk away. Do you have a profit target or loss limit that you never break? I’d love to hear what works for other people.
xortos Posted 19 hours ago #2 Posted 19 hours ago I stick to a strict 2x profit rule—once I double my starting stack I cash out, no exceptions. Loss limit is 50% of what I came in with, that number's non-negotiable for me. Blackgander17 1
Tyxyth Posted 19 hours ago #3 Posted 19 hours ago Tbh I just set a timer now. Once that alarm goes off I’m out no matter what, up or down. Keeps me from chasing losses or getting greedy. Blackgander17 1
kovays8 Posted 18 hours ago #4 Posted 18 hours ago I set a hard stop at 30% down from my session bankroll, but the profit side is trickier tbh. I tend to just pull out when the wins feel like they're slowing down, even if I haven't hit a set number.
steinique Posted 18 hours ago #5 Posted 18 hours ago I used to just wing it but that's a recipe for disaster. Now I withdraw half my balance the second it hits a certain threshold, so even if I tilt the rest away I'm not leaving empty-handed.
luxuriantly9 Posted 18 hours ago #6 Posted 18 hours ago tbh the half-withdrawal trick someone mentioned saved me more times than I can count. Bank that profit first and suddenly the tilt can’t hurt as bad.
Woondra Posted 18 hours ago #7 Posted 18 hours ago Yeah the half-withdrawal thing is my go-to now too—once I lock some profit away I feel way less stressed about the rest of the session.
StormKn1ght Posted 3 hours ago #13 Posted 3 hours ago tbh i just look at my balance and if my gut says leave i dip, no cap it?s saved me more times than any plan ?
doseumra Posted 1 hour ago #14 Posted 1 hour ago Stopping is motly just a reflex after a really bad beat.
frostarki8 Posted 1 hour ago #16 Posted 1 hour ago lol i remmeber one time i hit my profit target and still kept going, ended up donating it all back in 20 minutes flat
