Abati damilola Posted 18 hours ago #1 Posted 18 hours ago Casino takes a small % from each pot instead of playing against you
Ryxlyn Posted 16 hours ago #2 Posted 16 hours ago That's the rake, basically the casino's cut for hosting the game. Keeps the lights on without them needing to beat you at the table.
pyxyn Posted 16 hours ago #3 Posted 16 hours ago Yeah, it's way less aggressive than the house actually playing against you. At least with rake you're just paying for the seat and the dealer, not battling the casino's bankroll.
Zylelle Posted 16 hours ago #4 Posted 16 hours ago Yeah, rake can be a slow grind but I'd much rather that than the casino sweating my every move at the table. It's the lesser evil for sure.
lonewolfy32 Posted 12 hours ago #5 Posted 12 hours ago ngl the rake is annoying but beats playing against the house fr ?
Vynwyn Posted 5 hours ago #6 Posted 5 hours ago Some live tables take so much that a tight style just bleeds chips slow enough you barely notice
Vaeloseon Posted 3 hours ago #7 Posted 3 hours ago makes me feel like a pro when im actually just dodging a 3 dollar cut each hand lol
Nylosrel89 Posted 2 hours ago #9 Posted 2 hours ago i mean at least the rake is predictable, playing against the house directly they got infinite pockets and no tilt to exploit so you are just doomed slowly either way
Sophirelle891 Posted 1 hour ago #10 Posted 1 hour ago One time I was in a $1/$2 game and a $200 pot got shipped my way but I only saw $193 hit my stack, that tiny missing piece stung more than a bad beat honestly. They tell you it is a small cut but over a six hour session it eats through a buy in without you even realizing.
