Tbh the biggest shift for me was finally understanding position properly—like, 90% of hands I used to play from early position were just torching money. Folding a strong hand preflop when you’re out of position in tournaments has saved me so many times it’s not even funny.

Learning to fold big hands preflop when out of position was a game changer for me too, saved more chips than any hero call ever did. Cash games all day for me, tournaments just feel like a slow bleed until you hit a lucky run tbh.

honestly i used to grind tournaments thinking id hit a big score but after switching to cash i realised my whole winrate was from tourney donks not me being good. the structure forces so many flips that i think new players chasing binks are way better off just putting in volume at low stakes cash where the real lessons about folding strng hands stick
