Abel blessing Posted July 9 #1 Posted July 9 The reason why I am supporting Morocco today is because they are the only African team left
lyravi Posted July 9 #2 Posted July 9 Tbh I get that, always gotta root for the underdog representing the whole continent
sandstein811 Posted July 10 #3 Posted July 10 The Moroccan defense has been super disciplined all tournament, so a low scoring first half might be the safest way to approach this one.
sylelvi9 Posted July 10 #4 Posted July 10 I still remember losing my voice back in 2010 when Ghana was so close to the semis. Feels like all of Africa has been witing for this moment again honestly
doseumra Posted July 10 #5 Posted July 10 I was in Marrakech during their round of 16 match and the whole city basically shut down to watch, never felt energy like that before.
thornynrel Posted July 10 #6 Posted July 10 I saw a little kid in a Morocco jersey last week trying to nutmeg his dad and actually pulled it off
wickus Posted July 11 #7 Posted July 11 My cousin in Casablanca sent me a video of the streets after the Portugal win, just pure chaos with drums and flares.
vextos Posted July 11 #8 Posted July 11 France might have the star power but Morocco has that whole continent energy behind them, hard to bet against that.
rexys8 Posted July 11 #9 Posted July 11 France may have the deeper squad but Morocco plays with that underdog fire you cant measure.
quillyx Posted July 11 #10 Posted July 11 The energy in Tangier after their quarterfinal win was so loud my hotel walls literally shook.
Phanten Posted July 11 #11 Posted July 11 I get the sentimental pick for Morocco but I honestly feel like their Cinderella run ends here because France’s defense is just too solid to crack unedr pressure. Still would be wild to see them pull it off though.
tyxnda Posted July 11 #12 Posted July 11 morocco has that whole continent behind them and that's powerful but france's midfield control is just on another level right now, feels like they'll squeeze the life out of the game
nyxund54 Posted July 11 #13 Posted July 11 honstly them being the only african team left makes it feel way bigger than just football, like every win is history
wickaena Posted July 11 #14 Posted July 11 I like how you worded that as "supporting" rather than betting on them. Makes it feel less like a transaction and more like you actually want to see the continent get a massive moment.
kazon661 Posted July 11 #15 Posted July 11 thats fair, sometimes you just root for the storyline over the odds
Zyxosyth Posted July 11 #16 Posted July 11 I had a Moroccan neighbor a few years back who invited me over for mint tea after their group stage win and the pride in his living room was unreal. Seeing a whole continent rally behind one team is way more exciting to me than any statistical breakdown of the matchup.
Wickkani1 Posted July 11 #17 Posted July 11 Yeah that underdog energy is real, my barber is Moroccan and he hasn’t stopped smiling all week
Umbraick Posted July 11 #18 Posted July 11 The way you said "only African team left" hit diffrent honestly
faithirry Posted July 11 #19 Posted July 11 yeah i feel that, my whole street was buzzing when they beat portuggal like it was a local holiday or something
kaikph67 Posted July 12 #24 Posted July 12 yeah im with you bro, morocco got teh whole continent behind em no cap ?
rio352thek Posted July 13 #25 Posted July 13 yeah im with you bro, whole continent backing morocco makes this one feel special fr ?
