Chasing 1000x+ multipliers on Limbo—worth the variance?

Limbo is easily the fastest way to see your balance go up or down. I see people posting massive 5000x wins all the time, but every time I target anything over 1000x, I end up on a massive red streak that eats through my bankroll before the target ever hits.

Do you prefer hunting those massive, rare multipliers with tiny base bets, or do you find it more profitable to target lower, realistic targets like 2x to 5x with larger bet sizes?
