Bikinibum Posted Thursday at 08:42 PM #1 Posted Thursday at 08:42 PM Every gambler has that one opinion that makes them think: "Yeah... I don't agree with that at all." Maybe it's: "Martingale always works if you have enough money." "Sports betting is easier than casino games." "You should always cash out early." "Big wins come right after big losses." "Slots are better than table games." What's a gambling opinion that most people seem to believe, but you completely disagree with? No right or wrong answers—just curious to see the hottest takes in the community. 👇
Gauzelike61 Posted Thursday at 09:25 PM #2 Posted Thursday at 09:25 PM Tbh I can't stand when people act like "playing with the house's money" is an actual thing. Once you win it, it's *your* money—no different from what was already in your bankroll.

onyxvi333 Posted Thursday at 09:41 PM #4 Posted Thursday at 09:41 PM People saying "cold machines are due to hit" drives me nuts, like the RNG cares about your losing streak lol
rexari Posted Thursday at 09:45 PM #5 Posted Thursday at 09:45 PM Yeah the "house money" mindset is exactly what keeps people from walking away when they're actually up. Treating it like free chips makes it way too easy to just give it all back.
wrenosrel8 Posted 22 hours ago #9 Posted 22 hours ago I once saw a friend chase bonus buys on a "cold" slot for 45 minutes straight and the only thing that hit was his withdrawal limit.
lilyurund Posted 21 hours ago #10 Posted 21 hours ago Everyone swears live betting is smarter but I just watch my team blow a 2 goal lead every single time.
zedd1zljr Posted 21 hours ago #11 Posted 21 hours ago no cap bro fr that "all slots are the same" take is wild, rtp and volatility make a huge diff no cap ?
umbraelori Posted 20 hours ago #12 Posted 20 hours ago Lost 6 straight hands, doubling each time. Never again.

wrenolxen Posted 19 hours ago #14 Posted 19 hours ago people who say "never bet on your own team" are missing out honestly, watching my squad win and cashing out at the same time hits different. allso the "dont touch live roulette" crowd is sleeping, i hit a straight up number twice in one session while the wheel was still spinning fast lol
strikeraesse Posted 18 hours ago #15 Posted 18 hours ago I always shake my head when people say slots are just mindless button mashing, I find a lot of peace in the rhythm of it honestly.
vyxoslia Posted 17 hours ago #16 Posted 17 hours ago Honestly I never got the whole "sports betting is easier than casino games" thing, at least with blackjack or baccarat I know the exact house edge but trying to predict some random underdog covering the spread just feels like educated guessing most of the time. I would rather take the fixed math of a table game any day over sweating a last minute injury.
conchogaugau1 Posted 10 hours ago #17 Posted 10 hours ago ? ngl i realy dont buy the "always cash out early" crowd, sometimes they panic sell a winner for no reason lol
Mikkioly Posted 4 hours ago #18 Posted 4 hours ago The idea that slot bonuses are "due" after a dry spell just seems like wishful thinking to me.
Meriaean Posted 4 hours ago #19 Posted 4 hours ago Watched my friend dump a grand trying to force the Martingale on roulette last summer and the table limit shut him down before he could recover a single loss.
onyxys44 Posted 2 hours ago #20 Posted 2 hours ago I always roll my eyes at the "bigger bets mean bigger wins" mantra, my best cashouts came from low stake play where I could actually relax and not stress over every spin.
kyrxen561 Posted 52 minutes ago #21 Posted 52 minutes ago People who swear by martingale over just playing a slow game like blackjack are wild to me. Id rather sit at a table for an hour with a set bankroll than blow it all in ten minutes chasing losses that the table limmit wont even let you recover.
Davids3 Posted 40 minutes ago #22 Posted 40 minutes ago I don't agree with people that say never cash out early! Profit is profit in my opinion!
brittle Posted 34 minutes ago #24 Posted 34 minutes ago "You're due for a win after a losing streak." That's one of the biggest myths.
minjii11 Posted 34 minutes ago #25 Posted 34 minutes ago I disagree that gambling can be a reliable source of income for most people.
