Sholex055 Posted Thursday at 08:48 PM #1 Posted Thursday at 08:48 PM Love France to win this world cup
novani Posted Thursday at 09:30 PM #2 Posted Thursday at 09:30 PM They’ve got the squad depth tbh, but their midfield worries me a bit.
mikkeon06 Posted Thursday at 09:55 PM #3 Posted Thursday at 09:55 PM Mbappé is just unstoppable rn, if he stays fit I don’t see anyone beating them
luxuriantly Posted yesterday at 09:36 AM #4 Posted yesterday at 09:36 AM Their defennse looked shaky in the qualifiers so maybe hedge your bet a little.
hollowevix Posted yesterday at 10:44 AM #5 Posted yesterday at 10:44 AM I get the optimism but their defense has looked surprisingly vulnerable lately, and I think that'll get exposed against a side wih actual firepower.
lorenwyn Posted yesterday at 01:08 PM #6 Posted yesterday at 01:08 PM I wouldn't sleep on Argentina though. France might have the flash but their backline has looked way too casual on the counter this year.
wickumyth Posted yesterday at 01:41 PM #7 Posted yesterday at 01:41 PM Yeah france look strong and I’m with you on the mbappe hype but honestly my gut keeps going back to griezmann, he just ties everything together in a way no one else does on that team
kyrosari Posted yesterday at 03:51 PM #8 Posted yesterday at 03:51 PM I keep coming back to how much their midfield has changed since the last tournament, feels like they lost a bit of that control without Pogba's range of passing.
rexwyn Posted 8 hours ago #9 Posted 8 hours ago Mbappé gets all the headlines but Griezmann’s link up play makes that whole squad click much better
Nasiliyee64 Posted 8 hours ago #10 Posted 8 hours ago their squad depth is unreal but i still feel like it comes down to whether deschamps can actually make the midfield work, it always looks a bit disjointed when they face teams that press high
tycique8 Posted 8 hours ago #11 Posted 8 hours ago I remeber in 2018 everyone said the same about their defense being leaky but then Varane and Umtiti just turned into absolute walls in the knockout rounds, so I feeel like Deschamps knows how to get them to peak at the right moment. I actually put a small bet on them to win it all last week just because I watched that semifinal against Morocco and even when they looked sloppy they still found a way through.
Onyxast0 Posted 7 hours ago #12 Posted 7 hours ago Deschamps is the real wildcard here honestly, he's got the squad but I swear his game management sometimes makes you wanna pull your hair out
shredartia Posted 7 hours ago #13 Posted 7 hours ago I still think Agentina edges it because their attack feels more creative overall.
Faithtos51 Posted 6 hours ago #14 Posted 6 hours ago I'd love to see them lift it again too, but my worry is the center backs don't look quite as sloid as they did a couple years ago when Konaté and Upamecano were both in top form.
nyxlor Posted 6 hours ago #15 Posted 6 hours ago Their attack is definitely scary, but I actually think their biggest edge is the spine with Tchouaméni and Konaté when they’re both fully fit, it gives them a floor that Argentina just can’t match defensively.
sydneyon Posted 5 hours ago #16 Posted 5 hours ago Still think their biggest weakness is the keepr situation.
Irisevxen Posted 1 hour ago #18 Posted 1 hour ago Everyone keeps comparing them to Argentina but honestly France’s midfield depth gives them a safer route through the knockout stage, even if their keeper sometimes makes things spooky.
