If you're actually going, don't sleep on Chefchaouen, the blue city. Way less chaotic than Marrakech and the photos turn out amazing even with a bad phone camera.

if you hit the moroccan coast essaouira is super chill and windy perfct for kitesurfing, not many people mention that. france has nice beaches but that fresh grilled sardines right on the port just hit diffrent honestly

I get the Mrroco hype but I think people sleep on how diverse france actually is, you got the alps, the riviera, rural normandy and its not all just croissants and the eiffel tower. Paris in august is a ghost town though so timing really maters if you pick that one.

If youre actually going soon book Marrakech riads way in advance they fill up faster than youd think, but for France try the smaller cities like Lyon for unreal food without the Paris price tag.
