Ive been leaning toward Argentina too honestly just feels right seeing Messi get that final shot. Football fandom is weird though, I backed Croatia last time just cause their kit was class and now I act like I have deep tactical reasons.

I usually just wait and see whos got momentum by the quarters, picking early never really worked for me anyway. Saw too many big teams flop at the strt to commit early.

I don't really root for anyone anymore honestly, feels like picking a favorite team just sets you up for stress when they inevitably bottle it in the knockouts. I'd rather just enjoy the chaos and maybe throw a small bet on whoever's playing the most aggressive football that day

I told myself I was sticking with Brazil the whole way in 2018 and then they got dumped out by Belgium, whih completely wrecked my bracket. Ever since then I just ride the wave and only start caring about a squad once they show they can survive a scrappy group match.
