Phantioora Posted Friday at 10:46 AM #2 Posted Friday at 10:46 AM morocco all the way, the food alone just hits different compared to french cuisine. i mean france is cool for a quick trip but morocco has that vibe that actually makes you wanna stay longer.
yxarenne Posted Friday at 01:32 PM #3 Posted Friday at 01:32 PM morocco for sure if you're after a proper market haggle session, those souks have way more character than any french boutique. i always tell people skip the guidebooks and jsut follow the smell of grilled sardines in essaouira, youll find the best lunch spots that way
gauzeki Posted Saturday at 06:52 AM #4 Posted Saturday at 06:52 AM Franec feels a bit too curated for my taste, like walking through a museum where you can't touch anything. Morocco has more texture to it even if it's messier.
phanin Posted Saturday at 08:58 AM #5 Posted Saturday at 08:58 AM Last time I was in Marrakech I got lost in the medina and a random shopkeeper gave me mint tea and dident even try to sell me anything
vaelixmia Posted Saturday at 10:36 AM #6 Posted Saturday at 10:36 AM not gonna lie i'm leaning france here, the alps and access to a bunch of other countries in a few hours gives it an edge if you're more into nature variety than city bustle
Faitharra Posted Saturday at 11:13 AM #7 Posted Saturday at 11:13 AM I remember getting hopelessly lost in a tiny alley in Fes once and this old guy just pointed me to a rooftop terrace where i could see the whole ancient city, no words needed. That kinda moment sticks with you more than any fancy parisian cafe for sure.
vexioarium Posted Saturday at 04:27 PM #8 Posted Saturday at 04:27 PM I see the Morocco love but for me France pulls ahead because you can actually relax in a quiet village without the constant sensory overload. Sometimes I just want a long lazy lunch with good bread and zero haggling.
Jadeva Posted Saturday at 05:16 PM #9 Posted Saturday at 05:16 PM If you go Morocco pack a tiny flashlight, those medina alleys get pitch black after sunset.
vexanan70 Posted Sunday at 07:20 AM #10 Posted Sunday at 07:20 AM Honestly i think it depends on what kind of trip you're after, becuz a calm vineyard in the south of France hits way different than a chaotic market in Tangier. What sort of vibe are you chasing, food and scenery or more of an adventure where you get a bit lost in the streets?
steinurlia Posted Sunday at 01:10 PM #11 Posted Sunday at 01:10 PM Went to both last year and honestly the smartest thing I did in Morocco was bringing a cheap spare phone for the souks so I wasn’t flashing my main one around constantly while checking maps, makes a huge diff in dense crowds
