Their midfield buildup was actually pretty slick but they kept overcomplicating inside the box instead of taking the early shot. If they just let it rip from the edge of the area more often they'd convert some of that possession into actual goals.

honestly i blame the midfield more than the forwards, they kept passing sideways when they needed a through ball. like at that pont just take a rip from distance rather than wait for the perfect setup

I honestly don’t think they deserved much more out of that game. Sure they had a couple half chances but nothing truly clear cut, the final ball was just never there to break them down properly. The midfield looked terrified to try anything risky once they got to the edge of the box so even if they had scored it would’ve felt a bit stolen.

Watched it and honestly it felt like they were just hoping something would fall their way instead of creating real pressure, the missed chances were almost anticlimactic after a while. At some point you just have to convert those half looks because the opponent wasn't exactly threatening either, a real waste of a night really.
