dont sleep on how CR7 reinvented himself from flashy winger to pure poacher, that discipline is unreal. still messi for me bc his vision is like a cheatcode i swear you can watch games only looking at him off ball and learn something.

Messi for sure but what alwways gets me is how he makes the defenders look like theyre moving in slow motion, not just from speed but with those little feints and touches. I saw him live once in a friendly and even just warming up you could tell he was operating on a totally diffrent wavelength.

Messi too but here is a underrated metric: check their passing maps in big UCL finals, CR7s movement off ball forced systems to adapt but Messi would literally drop deep and drag 3 players just to open a lane for Alba or Suarez, coaching players to watch that is a cheatcode

Feels like a cop out to just say Messi but it is what it is, the way he destroyed that stacked Madrid side almost solo in that 2017 clasico is permanently burned in my brain. Always backed the handicap on him cuz even when odds dropped, you knew he would just cover it casually.

Honestly I respect the Messi love but I think people sleep on how Ronaldo adapted his whole game across three top leagus while still dominating, that kind of reinvention is borderline freakish and never gets enough credit.
