There's certainly a new trend over the past year or so that governments try to create their own cryptocurrencies in order to enter the rapidly growing crypto world, and not miss out what may become a new sort of digital economy.

I'm still on the fence on that one. On the one hand, this trend surely pushes forward cryptocurrencies, but on the other, these sorts of cryptos are not really decentralized... what do you think? Pro or against?

Haha, I taught they are against it, and now they are creating their own? xD lol.. There's really no one can deny the fact of how important blockchain is. The truth speaks for itself. Lets just wait what wil the banks commentary to this. xD

They are getting ready to back fiat with bitcoin, same as they use to do when fiat was backed on gold or silver.  All countries will soon create their own crypto, this is the only way they can understand and then participate in the ecosystem.   Central Banks will create resistance but at the end everybody will be in the blockchain.  Is just a matter of time.

In my opinion if the government gets involved its gonna be all bad.  Well if its united states government anyway . everything they touch turns to crap.

I think it is a good thing that they reallize and make use of the usefulness of cryptocurrency! For sure! I hope it helps countries with their economy, but its more for the benefit of the government then for the poeple but thats why we have decentralzied coins. As long as they leave our decentralized coins alone im happy with whatever they choose to do with crypto.

They really trying to take control of the crypto market and the thought by creating their own coins that would be a way to do so.
