bobdole Posted May 14, 2019 #1 Posted May 14, 2019 With Sports Betting being alluded to by Stake, to me it feels out of place. There are already plenty sites that do every kind of event based betting that you can imagine. Granted, there are other sites that have the same games as Stake, but I feel what makes Stake stand out is that the games are individually designed to fit in well with one another. In a way the games Stake have now all fit into the same genre while sports betting falls into a completely different category. In my opinion, Stake should focus on developing more unique casino style games because I feel that is what they do best. However, I won't completely rule it out until it's released and I hope it's done in a way that feels like a good fit for Stake. I would like to know how you guys feel about it and whether or not you think this is a good direction for Stake to go.

Very similar to how we've taken a unique approach towards our traditional casino games. Regardless, we are still always going to be working on new unique games. We're actually very close to releasing two new games. These will likely be ready before sports.

Kate Posted May 14, 2019 #4 Posted May 14, 2019 Yeah true there are sports betting sites out there and stake needn't add that but the difference would be that stake would do giveaways somehow connected to this sports betting thing and that would be a difference.
hustler1984 Posted May 14, 2019 #5 Posted May 14, 2019 I think it would be cool if there were only a few pages of different bets you could make based on current sporting events... and if it had some sort of social aspect built into it would be great... especially if those social aspects had an effect on the odds.. which would make the game beatable.... like multi player poker

It def can't be a traditional sportsbook so it will be interesting to see what they do differently.
polor12 Posted May 14, 2019 #7 Posted May 14, 2019 actually stake is quite doing well..having well over 900 players online playing.. almost everyday in different time zone... before v2 came out it was averaging 5 to 600 players even less on very slow days... but picked up when v2 came out.. and having players looking forward for the challenges. that gives a player to chance in winning a jackpot sort of.. for stake and its owner developers support staff mods.. having them involve with everyday players.. are really ahead with most online casinos.. well that is how is see it.. i played in many different casinos.. they have same format.. unlike this one.. If stake was more advertised. any thing can happen..

I like sports betting so looking forward to see it, I think you make a great point Bob! Important for stake to keep the unique feel on it so it's not just another sports betting site!!!!

I would also assume that sportsbetting is the one thing that has a great commercial value and has alot of money to made potentially for both sides of the coin.

I think this can be good for people who want to try their luck with other types of games, "it's like giving more opportunities" for people to play, some will win and most will lose, that's life in the casino.

Babagucci Posted May 16, 2019 #20 Posted May 16, 2019 Aside from the new sportsbook coming out which will be interesting to see, Stake is really starting to aggravate me..I understand now why players make multiple accounts because I haven't made any profits in a couple months now as my deposits get eaten immediately so maybe I should make another account and see how my luck changes. Think my luck would change?
