auroraoltia Posted Friday at 11:57 AM #2 Posted Friday at 11:57 AM Iniesta had that smooth control and he showed up in every final it felt like. Zidane was pure magic on his day but maybe a bit more hot and cold. I'd lean Iniesta just for the consistency tbh. Ayomide 1
lorenwyn Posted Friday at 05:09 PM #3 Posted Friday at 05:09 PM Zidane for me, he just had that extra aura in big moments that Iniesta couldn't quite match even with all his consistency. Ayomide 1
steinique Posted Saturday at 06:43 AM #4 Posted Saturday at 06:43 AM hmm who pressed better out of tight spots?
havenumax Posted Saturday at 07:48 AM #5 Posted Saturday at 07:48 AM Iniesta's composure uder pressure is what sets him apart for me, he never seemed rattled even when the whole match was on a knife edge. Zidane had those magical bursts but Iniesta's ability to just glide past trouble and make the smart pass over and over was unreal.
Ashrel20 Posted Saturday at 07:56 AM #6 Posted Saturday at 07:56 AM bit unfair to compare when one is pure spectacle and the other was a sileent surgeon
clotlia Posted Saturday at 08:01 AM #7 Posted Saturday at 08:01 AM I see the Iniesta consistency argument but I think it actually works against him in a GOAT debate because nobody ever gasped when he received a simple paass the way they did every single time Zidane touched the ball.
sandly Posted Saturday at 08:10 AM #8 Posted Saturday at 08:10 AM I remember watching Iniesta against Real Madrid in that 2010 6 2 at the Bernabeu, and the way he'd just glide sideways while three players rushed at him looked almost lazy but they never got the ball. Zidane had the stronger highlight reel of screamers but Iniesta was the guy who quietly owned entire matches.
voxast95 Posted Saturday at 09:49 AM #9 Posted Saturday at 09:49 AM Iniesta for me and it's really just down to one thing, the way he'd drop a shoulder and suddenly be five yards clear in a space that wasn't there a second ago. Zidane could dominate a match more obviously but that specific Iniesta move felt like actual sorcery every time.
luxelax61 Posted Saturday at 12:01 PM #11 Posted Saturday at 12:01 PM Both great but I always flet Zidanes elegance was unmatched when the stakes wer highest

clotarick1 Posted Saturday at 02:11 PM #15 Posted Saturday at 02:11 PM Iniesta always, saw him live once and the way he slipped past two defenders without even looking made me drop my drink
voraryth Posted Saturday at 03:37 PM #16 Posted Saturday at 03:37 PM Zidane just felt like pure art on the pitch. I always leaned toward him because he made the impossible look so casual, like tying his shoes.
kaig4t1k4 Posted yesterday at 01:35 PM #17 Posted yesterday at 01:35 PM ngl iniesta for me bro, dude was realy teh silent goat and never looked shook ?
raulloris85 Posted 5 hours ago #18 Posted 5 hours ago iniesta made everyone around him look twice as good
luxrvb1y8c Posted 5 hours ago #19 Posted 5 hours ago Do you think the choice depends more on preferring a single iconic moment, like Zidane's volley, versus yeas of controlling big games silently like Iniesta did?
zanxkhof1h4 Posted 5 hours ago #20 Posted 5 hours ago Zidane in a final was just a different beast though, man had that scripted main character energy when the stakees were highest. Iniesta's 2010 winner is legendary too but I still back Zizou if my betslip ever needed a 90th minute miracle.
bopiko Posted 4 hours ago #21 Posted 4 hours ago If I had to pick one to actually win me a bet on a big night, Zidane’s clutch gene just hits different in those knockout moments.
javier8 Posted 4 hours ago #22 Posted 4 hours ago Iniesta was more consistent week to week, but consistency rarely decides who gets remembered. Zidane had those five or six moments so big they basically swallwed an entire career, fair or not.
HellVortex Posted 3 hours ago #23 Posted 3 hours ago Iinesta glided. Zidane bulldozed. Totally different kinds of magic.
