I have one question to ask what is wrong with football. There was a time when football matches were anticipated on when we invested our time on a match, not because of the betting, but because of the joy that comes with seeing your favorite club win, your favorite player place a goal or the sadness, when they lose a penalty and get fouled and many more.

But now we have gotten to the point where plain bias and match rigging happens in front of us, we see referees ignoring an obvious foul, giving cards to a team not because they committed an offense deserving of the foul but because they just don't like the team or they favor the opposer.

Look at the match between Argentina and Egypt, the referee refused to give cards to Argentina, refused to call their fouls and instead they somehow gave an Egyptian coach a coach a yellow card. If this isn't concerning I don't know what else is.

I totally get where you're coming from; it can be really frustrating to watch a game when it feels like the officiating is biased. It’s such a shame when the integrity of the sport is called into question like that!
