Asscorn Posted May 28, 2019 #1 Posted May 28, 2019 Not sure what exactly is going on. Or why I should say I noticed this morning when reading the challenge rules that the min amount of wager for the increased eth prize of 1 eth for player wagering above a certain amount.(9000sat) Most of this is understandable as the price of ETH and BTC have increased. So the .1 eth now is like winning .2 before the increase. What I don't follow is the min wager for the 1 eth prize increasing by more then 3x to more then 9000 sat from 3000 before. At first they increased to 9000 from 3000 but left the prize at 2 eth. Makes sense. Increase min wager for an increased prize. But now they have lowered to 1 eth prize and the min wager is still 9000 to win 1 eth. I'm I the only one who thinks this is odd. - Price of crypto doubles. - Challenge Prize amount cut in half. - min wager increase by 3x
Mhela10 Posted May 28, 2019 #3 Posted May 28, 2019 oh really i didnt notice that one.. may be cause im not hunting 1 eth but its really interesting why that happen the min bet for hunting 3x than the previous one
Asscorn Posted May 28, 2019 Author #4 Posted May 28, 2019 2 minutes ago, john said: Prolly all the alts and faucetriders fault =p Alts might be a reason for lowering the 0.1 ETH prize although I think it has more to do with the price rising. But doesn't make sense for players wagering 9000 or 3000 sat with alts or not. Their still getting paid
ceastem Posted May 28, 2019 #5 Posted May 28, 2019 I already said things about this here But that was before they cut the prize in half. I also asked Steve about this in the challenge channel. The conversation went like this: someone: Why was the prize cut in half? Steve: Because the price of crypto went up and the prizes are based on it. me: Then why did the requirement for it not decrease? Then he didn't answer me, or probably did not see my question. Although the increase in price is pretty unreasonable, we can still bet 0 if we do not wish to win the biggest prizes. It's all for fun after all.
Asscorn Posted May 28, 2019 Author #6 Posted May 28, 2019 Thanks for directing me towards your original post. I hadn't noticed it and am still a noob around here. Seriously Steve didn't answer? Seems to me the lack of response is the answer. There is no good reason and it's not fair. At least in comparison to before. I agree that it is for fun. However I think the players at Stake are entitled to an explanation. In my opinion I think you would be better off forgetting the higher prize in the challenge. Its like wagering 9000 sat on odds that are probably 10000/1 for a prize that's only like 500x
pfodo Posted May 28, 2019 #7 Posted May 28, 2019 For me, it much more depends on certain Game and Challenges rules if i try and risk it to win that 1 ETH prize or not. If it is Keno or exact number in Dice (not big multiplier) i can try it. But i will not try it with Limbo or Plinko and so on. But certainly these changes were quite demotivating for me. However Eddie and Stake team know the best what they do.
polor12 Posted May 28, 2019 #8 Posted May 28, 2019 they had to lower it since the value change.. 30$ for the winners.. is pretty much fair isn't.. they should increase the faucet instead
FotisNt Posted May 28, 2019 #9 Posted May 28, 2019 Well, its good as it is right now.lol, I mean 1 Eth just for hitting a multiplier with 135 doge, thats too much for such a low bet. Some challenges requires 5x hits or less so there mgiht be not evne a way to bust your balances when chasing them.
artizykristy Posted May 28, 2019 #10 Posted May 28, 2019 I also think the same is this because of the rise of crypto currencies that have an impact on the Min blance bet to get eth or something else? I stopped a few weeks to try to get 1eth the reason is that this Min Blance Bet is too high
Waves Posted May 28, 2019 #11 Posted May 28, 2019 Its a free money, i think no need to complain about how much minimal base bet for 1 eth or whatever it was, you still can bet 0 satoshi and get 0.1 eth its good enough.
bmg Posted May 28, 2019 #12 Posted May 28, 2019 Yeah it kind of does suck seeing how it went down to 1 eth but the min wager got bumped way up. But its your choice weather or not to participate and you still can win .1 eth for nothing.
yololife222 Posted May 28, 2019 #13 Posted May 28, 2019 The prize they change but half down but the wagger increas by 3x so maby its harder to win and site get more profit of peopl hunting the 1ETH ? They should change it back to ass the first wagger needed like 3k btc,90k eth,15doge and so on.... Yololife222 ❤️ #StakeForLife
jkd123 Posted May 28, 2019 #14 Posted May 28, 2019 Sorry to say, we can't complain about that. Because there is opportunity for 0.1 with no minbet.
coeghacked Posted May 28, 2019 #15 Posted May 28, 2019 hmmmm what is less than stake? they give money for free every day. even with the large number of players who made the opportunity to be small. because price slow but sure up stake cut it half. did you see when eth last month price ? stake give 0.2 same as now 0.1 because of the fluctuating crypto prices that's is my opinion
barbaris Posted May 28, 2019 #16 Posted May 28, 2019 I tried to win 2 eth before, but it didn't work out. Now I do not even try. In my opinion, the price of the bet is too high now to hunt for high multipliers for Challenges.
williamshennie9 Posted May 28, 2019 #17 Posted May 28, 2019 lol, are are realising that most of the people winning are actually alts, so the made it harder to win, and the prize is now less. But on a serious note, it would also be because of the rapid jump in the eth price.
htetaungxx Posted May 28, 2019 #18 Posted May 28, 2019 but if prize is big winner will few i think. and cant win for everybody !_!
laron Posted May 28, 2019 #20 Posted May 28, 2019 I really think to find with a minimum bet balance I feel too big even though the rewards generated are quite big, sometimes if we hit sometimes it is still big that we hit from the prize that gets
vaname Posted May 28, 2019 #21 Posted May 28, 2019 I think even though the prize is reduced does not make the players stop chasing challenges. because when the crypto price increased, it was very difficult to find a victory that made many players who began to be lazy to follow. so there are lots of hunting opportunities for anyone who intends to get it,...
Eugene265 Posted May 28, 2019 #22 Posted May 28, 2019 Dude I am sure stake is giving out a lot of free money. And those challenges are still free money for us and to get free 30$ or free 300$ we should respect them for sure and dont complain about that.
Snike Posted May 28, 2019 #23 Posted May 28, 2019 My opinion on this whole giveaway thing is, that stake needs to get at least part of the prizes given out back. Like for what reason would they do it if its just 20 eth given out for free. To be honest a minimum wager of 0.00009 btc (=~0.75$) for a prize of 1 eth (=~270$) is more than FAIR. I know it has been less than a half of that before but you must accept the changes stake makes. The minimum wagering amounts have been low for the beginning when stake wasnt sure what was right or wrong. Now they made their decisions with the amounts and I personally dont even mind. You can get 27$ of crypto FOR FREE everyday. Whoever still has the balls to complain about that is crazy and shouldnt play in a casino anyways.
rdbase Posted May 28, 2019 #24 Posted May 28, 2019 Now that you mention it I do remember it being 2eth instead of 1 eth prize if you bet the minimum amount to win the total prize. But From the winners lists I rarely see anyone betting anything from their balance so to get the total prize. So I think stake is safe in not paying out the full amounts even if they can do it. Stake has alot of crypto you know! Do not feel sorry for them in if they decrease the prizes it is just how they see they can offer more to other players in giveaways and to the ones who actually spend something from their balances on the site towards the VIP and star program rewards.
Etude Posted May 29, 2019 #25 Posted May 29, 2019 Certain challenges like Limbo (20000x payout) is not viable for using the 1 ETH prize minimum bet amount as it would only keep draining your bankroll but on the odd case if you actually brave enough to go for it you will be hitting a HUGE profit from the Limbo profit itself on top of the 1 ETH prize. Ah decision decision.
