Back to past, i really addictive to gambling since end of 2016, i busted my money about 0.27 worth of bitcoins or 1.9k worth of usd at the current  exchange rates. at 2016, bitcoin isnt really valuable as now, so i'm not feel sorry about wasting my time and money. even though i'm not really bankrupt, i decided to not spending my money AGAIN for gamble, but i do it for fun, it means im not deposit do gamble, i do it from faucet. from time to time, on august 2017, i really crazed by many gambling site, specially "D" site, im not intend to advertise so i give it an alias. i breaking the rule for not spending my money for gamble :( . i deposited 0.3 worth of bitcoins or 700++ worth of usd at august current exchange rate. and boom, i busted. i'll try to recover my money by work as programmer at "S" company. for now, i restored my money *yay*, i feel so happy, i got plenty of dollars on my bank accounts.xD but still, the anxiety from gamble is still in my head.

well, back to the question, how do i stop gamble?

anyway, sorry for my bad english, i cant speak english smoothly.

Yes we can, all of us can stop gambling even though they will they will not "never" if something is really needed i think we will sacrifice something , it is just our brain cant stop gambling , all of us have different choices in life but life is just like gambling this is the kind of gambling thing that we cant escape , everyday life is gambling for our future ^_^

I can only stop gambling if I don't have money.

You know that playing gambling is fun especially if you win but if you lost then just hang out outside with your friends.

How to stop gambling? Tbh it's very hard to stop/quit gambling. Just don't let you hold your money, maybe like give it to your parents. So you don't have money to gambling.

Actually, it's not so hard, if you know real reason of your gambling and finding alternatives. Do you gambling because strugling in money and hoping to win? Find a better job (that worked for me). Do you gambling because you bored? Get busy with smth else. Do you gambling because of "high" feeling when win? Try skydiving 😂

Hello, deciding to stop doing something you enjoy can be challenging, there may be times when it feels impossible but remember lots of people have quit gambling and we can help you.

Do your best to stay away from gambling, the ideal outcome is that you stay away. However if you do revert to gambling don’t get down on yourself. You can always get back on track and use the experience to learn how to stop next time.

It is helpful to know lapses are normal and can happen at any time when you are trying to quit.

When lapses occur, becoming aware of the triggers that lead you to gamble can help you manage urges more effectively in future situations.

To give yourself the best chance of sticking to your new path, try some of our strategies for change.

As with quitting smoking, people who stop gambling experience urges to gamble.  Urges are an inevitable part of stopping gambling and a natural part of the process of regaining control.

Every time you overcome an urge, you are gaining more and more control.

Read more about urges.

While you can restrict your exposure to gambling triggers, you will not be able to avoid them completely, which is why it is important to learn ways of managing the urges.

Delaying the decision to gamble allows time for the urge to pass and for you to feel more in control of the decision. This is different to urge surfing as the focus is on the person using distraction from the urge to gamble rather than letting it pass without distraction.

Distraction takes the focus temporarily away from the urge and can give you time to rethink your decision to gamble.

Try the following next time you have the urge to gamble:

-Relax and focus on staying calm.

-Take some deep breaths to slow yourself down and refocus on what you can do now.

-Try to distract yourself with an activity to keep calm, such as a shower or a bath. Or you may read a book, cook or watch a TV show to stop thinking about gambling.  Find an activity that suits you.

-Say to yourself "maybe I won't go, I will see how I feel in an hour" and then go and do something else.

Remember you may find the urge returns when you stop the other activity. If this happens, perhaps try the urge surfing technique as above.

Set a goal that you can achieve if you stop gambling or develop a list of reasons why you made the decision. For example:

-I will have more money to put towards a holiday.

-I will be able to hold my head up high.

-My family will be proud.

- will be able to pay my bills.

-As my savings begin to grow money will have value once again.

Staying quit

Remember urges do not usually last longer than one hour.
DELAY
+
DISTRACT
=
STAYING STOPPED

Once you have decided to delay the decision to gamble, shift your attention to what you might like to do. It might be something you used to do before gambling became a problem, or something you've always wanted to try.

Many people find engaging in sport fulfilling; this could be anything that gets you moving. From a daily walk or run, to joining a gym or team sport.

When you feel an urge, do something else immediately and keep the following in mind:

-Limit access to money

-Surf the urge

-Distract from the urge

-Seek support from someone you feel you can trust. You don't have to call someone to talk to them about experiencing an urge. You might just want to ring and talk about something completely unrelated to gambling.

Hope i was helpful.

Hello, of course we can stop anytime but its way too hard, here are some tips to balance it.

Tips for Managing Money

Carry only a small amount of money on you

Leave debit and credit cards at home

Cancel your credit cards

Ask your bank to fix a maximum daily withdrawal limit (for example 40 Francs)

Learn how to live within a budget that is realistic for your income and expenses.

Ask for advice from a social service or a debt counselling agency, in order to manage your finances and debts.

Put in place standing orders for standard bills (rent, insurances etc.)

Tips for Managing Gambling

For casinos, use the "self-exclusion" service, or the "visitation agreement", to limit the amount of visits and their duration.

For electronic lotteries, such as Tactilo, it is possible to make agreements with the vendors

Arrange some enjoyable activities and do not punish yourself

Regularly think of things that motivate you to stop gambling

Consider activities that you have enjoyed in the past and that you have given up due to gambling

Plan activities, other than gambling for the days that you receive your salary

Try to spot things that cause you problems

Try to avoid going to places where you can gamble, for a while

Change your routine, to make sure that you do not come across opportunities to gamble

At gambling establishments, keep yourself as far as possible from the games, avoid speaking about gambling, try to modify your usual habits.

External Support

Give your credit cards to a friend or family member that you trust

Ask for a co-signatory for bank withdrawals

Speak to someone that you trust, about your gambling difficulties

Tell those close to you not to give you money

Take someone with you when you are withdrawing money.

I believe that those tips might reduce gambling or make it even safer.

its a good question but why we r gambling that a very crucial point right now

we are searching  various options in internet to earn and fulfil our requirement what was not  filled by our normal salary

the gambling is a shortest route to get money so quickly return our investment. if we r afford then play nor quit

good luck to all
