If you’ve read anything about casino psychology, you probably know about the "Friedman layout" from the 1990s. The rule back then was simple: make the casino a maze. Low ceilings, tight walkways, and slot machines blocking your view so you couldn't find the exit or the bathrooms. The goal was literal disorientation.

But if you walk into a modern resort on the Vegas Strip today, they’ve completely flipped the script.
