Wanna Race?

Upon login this morning I saw that there was a race underway.    

When the race had completed  I noticed a lot of comments in chat with players stating they had lost more then the prize they won.  

Not really that surprising.  I know when I attempted to win a race I often bet outside my usual limits.   

In my opinion I believe that the majority of players end up losing more then they win. For this reason I don't even attempt to win races.  

High rollers only and players with lots of coin to burn are the players who are ment to be playing. Everyone else is just contributing to the pot.

Never heard of these races being done on stake before and this is the first I hear of it being done there.

I arrived just when it was finishing and saw the comments about it. And yeah most did say they lost more then they won so it is pointless to play if that is the case.

Seen this done on other sites as well and same thing trying to get the highest amount of bets done.

Another race just ended and after sitting through the entire event, I can conclude that I will never get a chance to win one of the prizes.

The amount of money involved to get the top 3 spots is a whole lot of ridiculous. It makes sense for someone who has that kind of money to gun for the prize as long as the rate of ruin & average risk+loss < amount won. 

Damn if I couldn’t help but to feel slightly jelly about the way these HR(s) we’re competing. It’s a rich man’s world... the rich only get richer. 

 

P.S. Had an epiphany after the event, “Why am I even hankering after 10,000 satoshi tips?!” Sigh. 😔

I also do not participate in the race, it is too much for me. Even if you bet on the minimum multiplier you still catch the red.

Nowadays, almost all gambling sites did wager competition or wager contest. With their house edge, the more player wager in their site, the more probability the site get the profit

Well it is a place where you can loose like 1000 bucks so what do you guess ? They do giveaway money but they need to get some back.

I think the race time is too short only for 60 minutes, maybe if for example the time given one day maybe a lot of users follow it or at least notified by email

if you know the race is based on the wager,, so win or lose a few rolls all adds up your wager., must be nice to hit over 2 bits within a few mins,. can't even compete with that.. i can see why people say i loss more then i won.. ofc,, you end up spending more money to gain a prize that will not add up your loss,, that is how it goes., who ever can spend more wil win,, spend money to make money right,,

I don't even try the races to be honest. I know i'll never wager so much, and even if I do, I'll most likely never make profit, so I sit on the sidelines, watching people wager away. Even if I had the money, I still wouldn't risk it, when the competition is so high.

Its becose people dont think when race is on so they wana win without seeing that no matter if they place 1st they will be in loss.personaly this happend to me. But I acctually like this type of race its so theres race for active people not like race for whole week.

Race is a phenomenal idea for stake.    Especially with the short timing ... one hour. St random times.   Very very smart idea Stake !    Gives people on at different times with different strategy and different balances a chance to win these races.    Nicely done Stake !!

personally ilove the whole race system ,its intewnse and exciting especially when you are so close in some of them etc, this i just another one of the great ways stake gives back to the community:) thanks stake

A normal race should me more fair with another way.for example stake should make somehow all llayers start with same balance.the guy who wagers more then is the best for the race

This race was been terable. Spammers being active all time and we can`t play, because site lagging and after 4th Eddie tip browser crash. 

Why at every event we should be subjected to such a torture and can not enjoy it

Well, thats a common wager event, the smartest/richest wins. Typical one. Just like bonuses etc. Not everyone can take part which is annoying. I even tried for 20th place for a personal small achievement, did it but lost around 300k. No worth with a low bankroll, literally.

I actually liked that it was a quick  and random race because It actually gave regular players a chance to win.

I think it would be awesome to have those just pop up randomly maybe twice a day.

its just a storm when stake declare a race within one hours ,its like sprint 100mtr race within a timeframe, but oppps ,its  good some time all of sudden get some competition that was not prepared its more enjoyable.

Technically it would only ever be boosted profits if the majority of people lose. Sadly thats not always the case, otherwise we would run races 24/7 haha.

As with all things, theres winners and losers. This goes the same for gambling. We have plenty of players withdraw their profits, the thing is, they aren't the most vocal people of the community, and therefore you don't hear from them as much as you hear form people who lose.

yes and the high roller with high balance can easily create 5 account to be in top 10

just wagered 0.3 today on a race and got played over 100.

only HR can make profit oujt of it i guess

Man that race business is no joke. I lost my balance twoce in thw hunt for stardom. Made 34th right now but lost all. Lmao. Worth? Idk.

maybe because it was too ambitious to win the race, so never thought it would lose that did not match the income from the prize. maybe the hig rollers have to play carefully so as not to lose and keep winning the race

that's why I never join challenges that require a minimum bet or join races cause I am not interested to risk to much just to wager and get a prize that is less than my losses. thats why I only join the free telegram challenges once in a while

im curious though cause you didnt end up saying, how mcuh did you end up wagering? what place did you get? were you close at all?

the way i look at the races if you dont have abig bankroll... is just a bonus if you get lucky enough to wager a lot with a little amount =P
