Asscorn Posted June 17, 2019 #1 Posted June 17, 2019 I've been a part if Stake community for a couple or few months now. I really do like it and only wish I had more time to be more involved with it. I try my very best when posting or creating a topic to do a good job, be creative be friendly and only post quality posts that I think others may be interested in. I never thought that building a reputation on a gambling forum would become such an important thing. But it has and Ill continue to be a part of stake as long as I can. The one thing I would like to see change in some way shape or form is something to remind or give users incentive to react to posts. I think users would react more to posts with a reminder to do so or incentive of some kind. Its just too easy to get caught up in reading and posting and forget to react to something that deserves a reaction. I try my best to go through my previous post and read responses and react to most if not all, in hopes others will do the same. If you enjoy a post please react. The more users who routinly react to posts will in turn boost the community and also make it more likely that you'll receive reactions. Hope any users that enjoy this post share there reactions and continue sharing on every users posts Is your reputation important? Do you try and strive to make better posts and climb the ranks?
wngo123 Posted June 17, 2019 #2 Posted June 17, 2019 I'm really not sure what this reputation thing is doing anyway, but I'm happy when someone click +
allisonn Posted June 17, 2019 #3 Posted June 17, 2019 You know you are posting in a forum where post count is incentivized right? Most people don't even read the topic, just post some generic shit or paste from another person's post and move on. Reading threads seriously will lose you brain cells.
ceastem Posted June 17, 2019 #4 Posted June 17, 2019 Well reputation is just a number of how many people actually liked your contributions. I usually look at this if only checking if the post is credible. It's more like a tag price indicating how much posts he have contributed here. Everytime someone reacts on my posts/ comments, I feel more important and appreciated Other things aside, I'm not going to let them borrow money from me cause they're reputable people though. I have seen lots of "reputable people" scam so many people in the past and I don't plan to be next

I love Stake, reputation means a lot to me, I've always been trustworthy, loyal and helpful to all users at Stake. I've earned my way to being respected with reputation points that users give to me whether they enjoy the topics or not. Reputation comes in many ways, I'm about to earn my Bronze Star at Stake and that also means a lot to me. I like to do the best I can! I spend way too much time in doing so. Great! Congrats on climbing higher in rank. I hope you continue to rise and earn being a valued member of the Stake community.
bmg Posted June 17, 2019 #6 Posted June 17, 2019 To me yes I feel my reputation is very important and tho it may not be much I am who I am I'm not fake I have no alts , I'm as real as they come. When I have something to say weather its good , bad or whatever, if I feel I wanna say it out loud, I say it here. A good reputation is not something that can't be earned overnight but if you post about topics that are meaningful and interesting then you'll do just fine here. Oh and also read more than just the topics your commenting on. There are some good reads here if your interested you'll find them.
mezones24 Posted June 17, 2019 #7 Posted June 17, 2019 It's a good idea, I think the stake community is healthy and united, we motivate ourselves and we get lucky.

Unfortunatly with more respect and reputation a user has can make it easier a user to mislead someone. I think the simplest way to avoid that is not to lend anyone anything that your not prepared to lose. Or better yet don't lend at all. To the best of my knowledge I think Stake frowns upon that type of behavior anyway.
barbaris Posted June 17, 2019 #9 Posted June 17, 2019 Reputation does not give any privileges. But getting it nice. And the most important thing is not to use your reputation for personal gain, such as borrowing money from anyone, not intending to return it. Good luck.
Kippo Posted June 17, 2019 #10 Posted June 17, 2019 It has become very important for businesses to maintain a positive reputation online. If people are saying bad things about you, or your company, would your customers want to reach out to you to help them with their answers? A bad reputation online can really harm the business' objectives in the long run.
nattekut Posted June 17, 2019 #11 Posted June 17, 2019 I think a persons reputation on stake is very important. Unfortunately there still are a LOT of people that do not care about their reputation and just beg for money or scam good reputable members by running with their money. They will always be around and they will just keep creating new alt accounts to keep doing what they are doing. Me personally I care about my reputation. I admit this is my second account and do not use the old one anymore cause some idiot ruined my reputation I build on that one based on lies. So I decided to stay away some time and only a couple months ago came back with my new account. I always make sure I build and maintain a good reputation. If I have some left I will always do rains, trivia or random tips. Probably some guys remember the 0.01BTC trivia I did a couple months ago. I even got muted for couple hours cause chat went crazy when I posted the trivia. I will always try to keep building my reputation cause for me it is as important as my reputation I have in my business life. Even though I never ever met someone on stake in real life, they are normal people as well and those who also build a good reputation deserve to be treated with respect just like any other person.
Kate Posted June 17, 2019 #12 Posted June 17, 2019 Even if we are very poor and even if we are very rich there is nothing much much more important than reputation and respect that people have for you because that is a positive draw towards us.
williamshennie9 Posted June 17, 2019 #13 Posted June 17, 2019 I would like to think that people on here value my reputation. I try work hard to ensure that I provide value to the Stake community, so I really hope that people value my input on both the chat and the forum
polor12 Posted June 18, 2019 #14 Posted June 18, 2019 in forum or in stake in general.. i mean is it important to have one. having a rep.. i think might get some privileges.. and how people might look at you. the value of a person rep is up to that person.. i can honestly say. reputation is nothing to me.. being based on something where a person can something or someone else online is very different once they log off.. say what you want about anyone... if it really affects that person.. than that person values their reputation highly.. words only means something if that person gives it meaning.. reputation just brings back high school days.. where reputation show the status among all popular nerdy loner stoner goth groups.. lol..
CaptainLorca Posted June 18, 2019 #15 Posted June 18, 2019 Having some good reputation helps to be respected and also known here. This brings benefits within the community. There is no need to have any reputation.. but why should it harm? You can agree or disagree with the upvoting system. I think it’s a good gesture to use it, if it fits the situation.
CntryBoy Posted June 18, 2019 #16 Posted June 18, 2019 To be honest, for me I guess reputation matters somewhat. But to be perfectly frank, at the end of the day, we are all mostly just a bunch of strangers that seem to have online gambling as a common interest. It is always nice to see what others may think and nice to get reactions to certain posts/opinions though from time to time.
Etude Posted June 18, 2019 #17 Posted June 18, 2019 It is certainly a good idea to try to keep a good reputation the best you are able to no matter online or in real life since it can very well bring positive benefits in social and other areas too. Yes a that is a very nice reminder in regards to the react button!
JohnTravel Posted June 18, 2019 #18 Posted June 18, 2019 I hope to get more involved with the forum activities and improve my reputation here by doing my best.
neich Posted June 18, 2019 #19 Posted June 18, 2019 I think users would react more to posts with a reminder to do so or incentive of some kind. Its just too easy to get caught up in reading and posting and forget to react to something that deserves a reaction.
Sped Posted June 19, 2019 #20 Posted June 19, 2019 I think that the reputation is important, because a large part of stake is the great community here on the forums and on site in chat. What's the point of hitting a big win if you can't share to chat and make everyone else jealous. Also, it makes the experience as a whole more enjoyable if you are on good terms with everyone on stake.
yololife222 Posted June 19, 2019 #21 Posted June 19, 2019 Yes its werry important if you hawe bad reputation/past people wont trust you and will call you out for youre past if they will find out what you did,They might bully you for ewery litle mistake you make cuse of youre past... My reputation once when i came here first like 10 months i begged and made my selfe bad reputation but now atleast a litle people hawe forgot 1 year hase passed and people alredy forgot and now i hawe better reputation.

polor12 Posted June 19, 2019 #23 Posted June 19, 2019 well everyone saying having a good reputation is really important.. what do you guys considered a good rep.. the person doesnt get muted fight with other players.. well those are a couple given ones.. but the time i have been playing here some gotten their rep and good standings is by raining and tipping.. so someone can easily buy their reputation to be in good standings.. and that is how most of the time wen a person first get notice. ,, and more often a player rains and tips.. the higher the rep goes. ill keep it at that,,
HighDamage Posted June 19, 2019 #24 Posted June 19, 2019 I think this question is a little offensive but interesting. We have to show a good reputation wherever we are (That's in my opinion), help each other if someone is in trouble, Being good to everyone and obeying the rules is the main thing in this forum
artizykristy Posted June 19, 2019 #25 Posted June 19, 2019 For me reputation is very important because this is the easiest way to help or give a good example to new members who are joining the stake forum. and also because here is a community reputation is very important to see who they are ...
