I dunno about the 5% rule being golden for everyone tbh, feels a bit too rigid if you only bet a couple times a week. Sometimes I think it's fine to size up a bit on a strong read, just keep the overall pot in check so one bad beat doesn't wipe you out.

flat betting works but it also caps your growth if you hit a nice stretch, your risk per bet doesnt change so the bankroll cant really snowball. i get the discipline behind it but leaving money on the table when your edge is showing feels kinda off to me

Flat betting keeps me sane but yeah my roll barely moves during a heater, so I kinda lean towards the percentage approach just with a tighter cap like 2% per bet, keeps the math working without feeling reckless

Honestly I break my roll into weekly chunks instead of one big pool, it forces me to reassess and stops me from carrying a bad Sunday into Monday's slate.
