autumnerra Posted 8 hours ago #2 Posted 8 hours ago Mbappe is obviously a solid pick but I feel like everyone sleeps on how many penalties he gets for France which pads those numbers a bit.
doselyn Posted 7 hours ago #3 Posted 7 hours ago my bud put a tenner on ronaldo top scorer last time and i laughed at him til the group stage ended and he somehow had 5 goals already. mbappe feels safer now but you never know, some random always shows up.
Phanys Posted 6 hours ago #4 Posted 6 hours ago Mbappe has the speed and service to rack up goals in the group stage alone but I would keep an eye on Julian Alvarez if Argentina goes deep again since he tends to drift into perfect spots when everyone is watching Messi.
Pyxzyl Posted 6 hours ago #5 Posted 6 hours ago Mbappe is the easy frontrunner but I actually think the dark horse is whoever gets to face the weakest group stage defense. Someone like Lautaro Martinez could rack up a hat trick early and suddenly be leading the cart before the knockout rounds even start.
Novatia Posted 3 hours ago #6 Posted 3 hours ago Always worth checking who gets the penalty duties for each team cause that can totally swing the golden boot in the knockout rounds, even a guy like Kane stays in the race longer than he should if he's on pens. I also like watching pre tournament friendlies just to see who's shooting constantly, those greedy wingers with no fear tend to fluke into a few early.
