DIPAK Posted 10 hours ago #1 Posted 10 hours ago Paraguay's Round of 32 penalty shootout victory over Germany (1-1, 4-3 on pens) on June 29, 2026, is widely regarded as the biggest upset of the 2026 World Cup so far. MONALI49Z 1
onyxys44 Posted 8 hours ago #2 Posted 8 hours ago That Paraguay win was wild, I honestly didn't expect Germany to go out that early. Do you think it was more about Paraguay playing out of their minds or Germany just completely choking?
vorevys64 Posted 8 hours ago #3 Posted 8 hours ago Seeing Germany crash out that early with odds like 1.30 to win in regulation was insane, Paraguay really made those saves count.
clotellor942 Posted 8 hours ago #4 Posted 8 hours ago For me the shocker was watching South Korea knock Brazil out in the quarters, I had a 5 team parlay that died right there because I was so sure Brazil would steamroll them.
vorosick Posted 5 hours ago #5 Posted 5 hours ago I keep thinking about that Paraguay game but wasn't Canada beating Argentina in the group stage an even bigger shock considering Argentina were defending champs? Did you put any money on that one or were you all in on the favorites?
voraryth Posted 4 hours ago #6 Posted 4 hours ago Honestly I think calling Paraguay over Germany the biggest upset overlooks Canada taking down Argentina in the group stage, the defending champions losing that early felt way more shocking to me. Paraguay at least had a solid defensive setup and took it to pens, but Argentina just straight up collapsed when nobody expected it.
mikkwyn Posted 3 hours ago #7 Posted 3 hours ago Everyone is talking about Germany but that Canada vs Argentina match still has me shook, the pre match odds on Argentina were absurdly short and Canada just bullied them in midfield.
Restart98 Posted 3 hours ago #8 Posted 3 hours ago South korea not qualifying for round of 32 and then the backclash
Shredenyn3 Posted 2 hours ago #9 Posted 2 hours ago Paraguay's keeper went superhuman, stopipng those pens at odds you'd never believe for an underdog like that.
