I think I’d point them straight to plinko because it’s just so dead simple to understand even if you’ve never touched a casino. Do you think the visual risk levels actually help a newbie figure out their own play style or does it just confuse them more?

I see a lot of people saying Plinko and I get why since it's totally brainless fun, but honestly I think Mines teaches a newbie way more about managing risk and walking away on a win. Witth Plinko you just drop and pray, whereas Mines forces you to make a decision every single click and that little adrenaline hit when you cash out yourself feels much more rewarding.

Plinko is fine if you just want to zone out and not think, but it doesn't really teach a new player anything about when to stop or how bankroll swings actually work. I'd probably throw them into low risk Mines with like 3 bombs so they at least get that little tension of deciding between cashing out and getting greedy.

I would probably point them toward something like low volatility dice with a very basic martingale script, just so they can see how fast a bankroll can disappear even with a seemingly safe strategy. It is not the most exciting intro but it sets realistic expectations from the start.
